The Bellamy Bunch

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”  Albert Einstein

The above quotation prompted the development of a wiki named 'The Bellamy Bunch'.

The aim was to explore the idea that learning is developmental – that is, a continuous process where learners engage with increasing complexity. The core of selfhood is a personal body of knowledge that is built by individuals to provide a satisfying solution to personal questions about the world they live in.  For unknown reasons most people drop out of the building process once they have left institutional learning environments.

It is important that we all, young and old, engage with the UN 2030 Agenda to assemble a personal body of knowledge and act upon it for the benefit of future generations.
